I first stumbled upon The Voxel Box in early 2012 after browsing ~~naughty pictures~~ epic minecraft builds on the internet. After seeing just a few images and videos, I was greatly ~~jealous and disgusted~~ impressed by the builders on this server. Desiring to join a community of ~~elitist assholes~~ talented builders, I ~~threw together~~ carefully constructed my greylist application, which was quickly accepted. A few weeks later, I first logged on to the TVB and was astounded by the newly constructed spawn zone. After taking a few days to look around and get myself acquainted with the tools and controls, I set off to the guest zone to show my worth. I completed my first build in just under 4 hours. It was a "modern" small office building. Aside from being far too ~~total crap~~ small, the build had a poorly designed interior. That week I was very busy ~~getting paid and getting laid~~ and could not devote any time to applying for WL. The next week, when I logged on, my first WL build had been deleted, as it was obviously insufficient. However, I was not disheartened and indeed, my resolve grew. For my next build, I knew I would need to be far more ambitious. After looking through my sketchbooks for ideas, I decided to build a desert palace using unique design elements. After spending a few days on the project and getting advice from various members, I finally asked Giltwist to review my build. In short, he did not much care for it. However, this could be because ~~he has no taste~~ we have very different building styles. Not accepting defeat, I continued adding on to and improving my build. Once again confident, I asked Gav to take a look at it. While he liked the exterior, he made the point that ~~the interior was crap~~ there was too much underutilized space on the interior. Seeing he was ~~being too picky~~ right, I quickly remedied the problem. By this point, I had the support of many other members of varying ranks who helped me get the attention of Cisco, who finally whitelisted me.

The member era

Once I became a member on the server, I took a trip to the sandbox and built a tower that resembled the temples of Southeast Asia. I had read on the wiki that Kathos was the place for ancient architecture, so I called Doublenum over to look at it and see if it would fit in Kathos. That tower was the beginning of what would eventually become Ankara Singh. Soon after, I was building a full scale temple in Kathos. I also took part in the "Space Boats" buildoff event, hosted by ProGamerGov. I enjoyed exploring the space texture pack for the first time, and I built The Aurora, a science vessel. After continued work on Ankara (which did not have a name at this point) I received LiteSniper from doublenum in early April.

The age of Lite

After becoming LiteSniper I ~~continued working on Ankara, but~~ also began a few side-projects. I worked on a city concept in my boxel (which is still there) and I built a skyscraper in Hanai (TieShu Building). I hadn't planned on building in Hanai, but I watched spirited away the day before, so I couldn't help myself. However, I was soon back to work on Ankara, and made significant progress over the next month and a half or so. Now that Ankara Singh is nearing completion, I am planning another city to work on based on the architecture of India and South Asia. I have also been working on a castle named Dransul, located in Kathos.

Going Green

I was promoted to sniper just a few days after open server day (for which I was a tour guide). This was just in time for me to begin construction on my new city, Kharangapur. After some work, I once again got distracted and began planning for a new region as an expansion to Deep Space that is under the working title Voxel Far Worlds (currently on hold). In addition, I've been starting a ~~bajillion~~ good number of projects in my cube. After taking a brief break from minecraft, I returned and began a few new projects. One of which is ~~in Tanviir~~ top secret, and the other of which ~~doesn't actually exist~~ is also top secret. After much work on my island in Tanviir, I opened it to the public and it was very well recieved. On January 5th, I left America and TVB to travel the world and study abroad for 4 months. Now I am back and who knows what I'll be working on next!

About Me

In real life, I am a ~~lazy bum~~ fifth (don't judge) year college student studying city planning and urban design. I spent one year studying architecture, but found that ~~it was too much work~~ I preferred to think about broader situations, creating plans that benefited the entire community socially, economically, and environmentally. My other hobbies include lap swimming, ~~drinking~~, sketching/drawing, playing soccer, watching ~~dirty~~ movies, ~~smoking~~, and playing a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, ukulele, and keyboard. Between my demanding classes and my other hobbies, there are many times when I am simply too busy to play minecraft, but I am on it every chance I get!
