It all started on a lovely summer day. Jinzha was exploring his favorite forum and found a thread about this game called Minecraft. He found out that a close friend of him was one of the top contributors to this thread. Jinzha was interested. Quickly a pirated version of the game was found and downloaded. Beautiful days were spent in the Alpha survival mode. This pirated version couldn't update though, so he was stuck in the last update before the greatly awaited Halloween update. So Jinzha started complaining. His good friend felt sorry and offered him a premium Minecraft account. This was and still is very high up in his list of awesomest moments ever.
Jinzha joins random servers
Jinzha decided to look for servers so he could play survival mode with other epic minecrafters. He found Minecraftforums to be a great source for servers, but after several random servers he got tired of those goddamn griefers and noobs. Jinzha took a break, untill the summer of 2011. He found the screenshots section of the MCforums and stumbled upon the wonders of creative minecraft. He found some builders that really interested me and they happened to be on the same server, so Jin decided to join. His first application was accepted and soon he was playing around on the first creative server he had ever joined.
Inside a Box of Voxels
That first creative server Jin joined happened to be called The Voxel Box and the builders that Jin found on MCforums turned out to be Zaccheus and his town of Ventus, Razorcane and his town of Babiole and Sedentarygecko with a series of small tutorials. His first guest build was soon reviewed by none other than the most sedentary of all Geckos, Sedentarygecko. His first guest build sucked. So did the second. But Gecko helped the lonely guest, he showed him Home Depot and IDEA, he showed him some towns on the server and soon Jin had a bit of an idea of what it takes to be a Voxelboxian. He started building a small modern house that was reviewed by Jyro and he recommended it to ELEVn, who was just finished with a huge co-op guest troll with Deamon5550, so enough reason to be scared. Luckily, his build was apparently good. It was too small, so he was told to move on to build something a little bigger. He moved on to build a sucky Babiole-inspired Fish restaurant. Some "unique" ideas like an abstract art, a unique menu and a garden with seating were included. This inspired FortunateKing to recommend it to several admin and after at least 5 admins, it was Feather's turn. Feather whitelisted Jinzha on the first day of September 2011(approximately..).
The noob got whitelisted
He got whitelisted, time to contribute to the community. Like many guests in those days Jinzha built his first build in Sapientia. He decided to contribute to more towns before starting his own project, because back in the good ol' days this was normal.
(Possibly other buildings that have been forgotten)
Time had come to start his own town, but right after doing this the noob lost all motivation to build. This motivation hasn't come back yet.
A new Litesniper in Holocene
The New Worlds quickly arrived and Jinzha got new motivation. He built a flower shop in Lucente (interiorized by Arkotika) and then started on a new town. This town was supposed to be his masterpiece, but it never became that. Because once again, all motivation was lost. In a unique build-off that I prefer not to talk about too much, Jinzha got rewarded with the LiteSniper tool. This was like a dream come true and many many many hours were spent terraforming. His boxel had been filled with several different landscapes around this time, every landscape had it's own idea for a build to be in Holocene. The aztec temple complex for Zah's jungle was never built, neither was the the desert temple for Narajiq. Why not? Because by the time the terraforming was done, Jinzha got bored of the project. Seeing Qemet renewed motivation to build and a water storage building was made, without interior, so it fits in perfectly with the rest of Qemet! This gained him his first permit in the New Worlds. This time Jinzha started yet another boxel-project, but for Kathos. He failed yet again, even though he had great help from offer. Jinzha became a sad and lonely man, who had given up all his hopes and dreams. So he resorted to The Wild West to build his initial desert temple. Laor found out about it and after all, Jinzha got recruited to build in Narajiq. This really gave him a big boost in self-esteem. But being the noob he was, he failed once again. This desert temple is still there, unfinished and without being worked on.
It's like a dream come true
Jinzha applied for sniper with a 1500 word application (or essay, to quote KupoKupo). After recieving sniper on the 27th of May, Jinzha was a happy noob. He spent a lot of time enjoying jockey, extrude and most of all /b set. Life was beautiful. But then the laziness returned and soon enough Jinzha was back to normal: Doing nothing all day. As a sniper, work was renewed on El-Mahdi. A lot had been done, and it was featured on Strydez' VoxelTour of Zah! It was however still in an extremely incomplete state.
Many months have passed since Jinzha first became green in chat. While most months have been spent being everything but productive, in December 2012 Jinzha joined Annomatia in the construction of a medieval castle. Castle Altz found it's home in Msk and is still being worked on. Meanwhile, around March 2013, Jinzha got bored again. Several weeks were spent offline, but now he is back in action! To be continued...
Work in Holocene
Jinzha has the following builds you can visit in Holocene:
Jinzha is a big fan of all sorts of both new and old Electronic Music, excluding everything even close to the modern Electro noise. Whenever I feel like it, I'll put a song for the people to enjoy down here. If you happen to know the artist or the song, I'm sure we can have greatest conversations about Electronic Music together!
