MAY PROJECT

The project for May 1st, to May 31st is Poffingway Grove! Make sure you read up about it, and come out and join in the fun!

Project Information

Meridia is a world based off of not simply fantasy, but also the unreal, and yet to be imagined. The goal of the world is to be a full community based project without the stress and deadlines of a timelapse. Styles and ideas will be developed by the curators, instead of 1 world with multiple subsections, a patchwork world will be developed and connected up.

Project Guidelines

Projects will be announced and linked here, and on the front page of the wiki. A promotional video will be on the voxelbox youtube channel, explaining the art, and style of the project that will be active. Projects will be designed and shown in art to show the community what will be built within an area. The projects will require all skill levels of players. Meridia is not just going to be an area for "expert organic artists", all members of the community will be welcome to contribute as long as they complete a project. On the specific project page, there will be information on what needs to be built, with things ranging from simple organic art, to regular architecture, to expert centerpieces.

Projects will be open from the start of the month when they are announced - to the end of the month, allowing for full community participation in that time period. You may not start a project on your own in Meridia, and may only build in the open project (possibly projects) of the month. If you would like to contribute a build to a closed project, you will have to have approval from one of the Meridia curators to add your build into it.

How Can I Help?

As said above, all skill levels of builders will be welcome to contribute to an open project. All you need to do simply read up the guidelines of the open project, hop on out to the area, and start building! You *must* complete a project though if you are going to build it in the project area. If you are unsure about an idea or if you will want it used in the project, build it in your boxel first.

If you are worried about starting a project by not knowing how to build in the style of the area, no worries! There will be video tutorials to help teach how to work within the style of the area, and if there is a curator from the area available we will be more than happy to give feedback on helping you improve your builds. The point of all the projects in Meridia, is to help encourage a community build, where everyone can come together and collaborate on a set project, and learn new styles to help expand your own comfortable build styles.

WHEN WILL IT OPEN?!

Meridis is open *now*! To get there, use the transport in spawn that used to lead you to Talmor. (Just follow the big flowers, you won't miss it!)

What will happen to Talmor builds?

Since Meridia is vastly different from what Talmor was designed to be, the builds from Talmor will not exist on Meridia. Instead - all complete builds will be saved as a schematic and moved over to "The Meridian National Park". The National Park will be an open area off of the main content of Meridia, where old builds will be placed, and new solo builds will be able to be built. Players will be able to build any size of organic sized build, from dragons, to seagulls, to little houses, the area will be open to complete projects (no cities, but a few houses are fine). The National Park will feature a series of roads that connect everything up, so that when you walk you will always be able to follow a road to see something interesting. If you are going to build in the National Park, you MUST connect your build up with a road, so that builds are 500 blocks away from each other in random directions. The park will be an area that will encourage making nice filler areas between whatever people decide to build.
