About Open Server Days
Overview
Open Server Days provide the minecraft community with a "snapshot" of what The Voxel Box has to offer, whether it be the builds or plugins. On this Server Open Day, Visitors of the server are able to view everything from the server, from Facet to Holocene. During the Server Open Day, Graylisted Guests (not visitors) are still permitted to build, but their creations will not be reviewed on this day.
A few facts about our upcoming Open Server Days:
- There will be no visitor builds or graylist reviews on Open Server Days
- We will be opening at 12:00 AM EST the first Saturday of each month.
- Tours will begin to wrap up towards the end of the day.
- We will be closing to new connections at 11:30 PM EST.
How To Connect
Note: Open Server Day has not begun and Visitors are not currently being accepted to the server.
To connect, just install the Texture Packs and accept our Terms of Service to get the IP address. For an enhanced experience, install the ModPack!
Things Visitors Can Do
Hey! Visitor! Welcome to the server. Confused on what to do? We have prepared a list of things that YOU can do, if you are ever stuck!
• Understand Our Rules!
The Voxel Box only has three simple rules, which every member or visitor of the server MUST follow. You can view the Rules here.
• Install the ModPack!
The Voxel Box ModPack provides you with every mod you'll ever need! The modpack includes ModLoader, VoxelBox Essentials, Zombe's ModPack, VoxelWorld, VoxelTextures, VoxelPlayer (Chat Bubbles!) and much more! Go check it out! This ModPack will enchance your touring experience on The Voxel Box.
• Plan your journey!
We have various Maps of the server, including the most recent Cartograph of BOTH worlds! You should also check the various wiki pages we have for the server, including Wild West Towns or Wild West Cities. The towns shown on those wiki pages are located in the Wild West, which is located on Facet.
• Explore!
When you have your journey planned, The world is yours to explore! Curators can act as tour guides for their official zone, so be sure to look out for PURPLE names in-game. In addition, look out for members with the [TG] (tour guide) tag and colored chat. They are certified tour guides who will be running tours throughout the day. Remember! These tour guides are going to be under pressure with the amount of Visitors on the server. If they do not reply to your question immediately, wait before you ask again. Spamming the chat will get you the wrong attention! Alternatively, you can take use of VoxelTimer to explore independently.

• Play Games!
On the Server Open Day, The Nexus will be set up and contain plenty of fun games, which everybody will be able to play. Here, you will also be able to check out what redstone the server has, and be able to play games such as VoxelSlots, VoxHero, our special version of Lights-out and Whack-a-mole! More games will be available, including Boat Races and Mazes!
• Apply for Greylist!
After you have toured the server, you should understand what expectations are for the server. This is the perfect time to apply for a permanent Greylist! Be sure to tell us you visited on the Server Open Day, We're always happy to see a familiar face!

• Take Photos!
Remember, The server will only be open to everybody for 24 hours. We love to see the photos you guys can take! Be sure to tweet them to our Twitter (@voxelbox) or upload them to our Facebook page!
The Worlds: First Glance
The two worlds of The Voxel Box are Holocene and Facet. Holocene, our showcase world, is the prime spot for viewing some of our server's most prized and popular builds. Taking a trip to Facet will give you a more "down n' dirty" look at the inner workings of The Voxel Box, but some more curated areas, including Deep Space, are still found there. In order to ensure the correct texture pack is in use based on your location within the worlds and regions of The Voxel Box, we suggest use of the ModPack, which includes a texture pack auto-switcher, so you can travel from one place to another without any hassle!
